Skip Chancellor, who joined Faust Distributing Company in 1998, has experience in the beverage sales and distribution industry. Before being named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Faust Distributing, Chancellor served as vice president of finance and controller.
Chancellor is responsible for managing and coordinating all financial matters of Faust including its consolidation and growth. In addition, he directs the company's administrative, accounting, tax, information systems, human resource, employee benefits, and risk management activities. Prior to joining Faust, Chancellor was the controller for Brooks Distributing Company, a beer distributor with locations in Conroe, Angleton and Bryan, Texas, which was acquired by Faust in 1998.
Before working in the beer industry, Chancellor worked 19 years for Quality Beverage Company, a Texas wholesale liquor and wine distributor. During his time there, he served in many roles including controller, vice president, and chief financial officer and was a member of the board of directors. In addition to his financial and administrative responsibilities, Chancellor also directed the statewide warehousing and distribution network.
Chancellor started his professional career as staff auditor at Price Waterhouse & Co. in Houston in 1970. Chancellor graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and economics. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Chancellor served on the board of directors of Caring Choices, an international adoption agency. He and his wife, Linda have fostered over 50 infants for the Homes of St. Mark Adoption Agency.
